Get into the holiday spirit by decorating your home and entering our inaugural Holiday Lights Contest! It’s a fun way to showcase your festive spirit and compete for a chance to be crowned the best-lit home in the neighbourhood.
Here’s how it works:
- Sign Up: To enter, simply complete the registration form by November 23 to signal your intent to participate. UPDATE: Deadline extended to Dec. 4.
- Deck the Halls: Install your lights and decorations by December 4. Make sure your home is glowing and ready for its close-up!
- Photo Day: Our team of board members will visit your home between December 5-8 to take a photo of your display.
- Voting Begins: We’ll share an album of all entries on our website and social media pages for voting. Voting will run from December 12-31, so be sure to share the post with your friends and family to encourage them to vote for your home!
- How Votes are Counted: Votes will be based on the number of likes and interactions each photo receives. The photo with the most engagement will be declared the winner!
Important Notes:
- By entering the contest, you give the Southdale Residents Group permission to photograph your home and share the images (along with your address) on our website and social media pages.
- Be sure to spread the word and encourage your neighbours to participate too — the more, the merrier!
